Software Engineer, Agent Experience (AI)

Location: Remote in North America

Salary: USD $160,000–$210,000 for candidates in the United States; CAD C$225,000–C$285,000 for candidates in Canada. Compensation may vary outside these regions.

hirify.global builds Voice AI models and APIs for speech-to-text, real-time transcription, dictation, voice agents, text-to-speech, and LLM applications.

What you will do

• Drive the agent experience as a first-class product experience for developers using hirify.global.
• Build and maintain agent skills for Speech-to-Text, Real-time, Dictation, Voice Agents, TTS, and LLM Gateway products.
• Extend the hirify.global MCP server and support agent integrations, OAuth, and API-key authentication.
• Make llms.txt, machine-readable documentation, quickstarts, SDK examples, prompts, tool definitions, and agent instructions ready for coding agents.
• Build evaluations and benchmarks for real coding-agent integration tasks, measuring success rate, time to first working call, and agent-driven activation.
• Scale successful agent-experience practices across the product portfolio and use AI tools in engineering workflows.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with solid full-stack fundamentals.
• Professional experience with JavaScript and/or Python.
• Daily hands-on use of coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
• Hands-on experience writing prompts, skills, tool definitions, or agent instructions, with interest in evaluating them through measurable benchmarks.
• Product sense for developer-facing tools and clear technical writing.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and shipping in a new discipline.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MCP, LLM tool calling, and how agents consume documentation and APIs.
• Experience building an MCP server, agent skill library, or coding-agent plugin.
• Developer relations, documentation engineering, or SDK experience at an API-first company.
• Experience with Voice AI, speech-to-text, or LLM APIs.
• Experience shipping agent-facing tools used in production.
