Broadband Project Manager (Consulting) Remote

Location: United States (Remote); occasional to moderate travel may be required for client meetings, project activities, and industry events.

What you will do

• Lead broadband consulting projects from initiation through closeout, managing scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, quality, and deliverables.
• Advise clients on broadband strategy, technologies, deployment approaches, and federal funding programs including IIJA and BEAD.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams and coordinate state and local agencies, public clients, internet service providers, subconsultants, vendors, and community stakeholders.
• Lead or oversee broadband market assessments, feasibility studies, strategic plans, data analysis, mapping, grant implementation, compliance monitoring, and technical reviews.
• Prepare and present reports, technical memoranda, presentations, scopes, proposals, and other project documentation.
• Manage project financial administration, including estimates, budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, invoices, credits, and change control.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of progressively responsible project or program management experience in broadband, telecommunications, public infrastructure, or consulting.
• Working knowledge of broadband standards, regulatory requirements, deployment considerations, and fiber-optic, fixed and mobile wireless, cable, satellite, and other telecommunications technologies.
• Familiarity with broadband policy and federal funding programs such as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and BEAD.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, resources, risks, quality, deliverables, budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and change control.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, listening, interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public policy, or a related field; proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, and project-management tools.

Nice to have

• Experience interpreting or implementing grant requirements for federally or state-funded infrastructure programs.
• Experience supporting state broadband offices, public agencies, municipalities, or other government clients.
• Experience with broadband planning, feasibility studies, data analysis and mapping, technical reviews, grant administration, or program implementation.
• PMP certification or another recognized project-management credential.
