Staff Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure Security

Location: US remote eligible; must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites may be required by agreement with the manager.

Base pay: $200,000–$250,000 USD annually, with potential eligibility for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

What you will do

• Lead infrastructure security initiatives protecting Airbnb’s cloud and data infrastructure.
• Shape the technical direction of security projects and validate ideas through iterative development cycles.
• Define measurable success criteria, assess risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate senior engineers, leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive execution.
• Maintain transparent communication and present project outcomes, trade-offs, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 8 years as a Technical Program Manager or in relevant roles.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure security in cloud environments or data platforms.
• Experience with identity and access management, network security, encryption and key management, secure configuration, container and Kubernetes security, and data protection.
• Ability to frame ambiguous problems, develop detailed solutions, and drive initiatives through completion.
• Strong analytical, business judgment, ownership, stakeholder influence, and communication skills.
• Must reside in an eligible US state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
