Engineer III - Network

Location: Hybrid; must reside in Arizona. Phoenix, Arizona office location. Work hours are 8:00am–5:00pm with an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation.

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and document WAN and LAN infrastructure.
• Administer switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, NTP, wireless networks, firewalls, and related network environments.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages and incidents, investigate faults, and minimize downtime.
• Establish and enforce network security policies, monitor traffic, and support firewall environments.
• Collaborate with network architects, developers, managers, and departments on upgrades, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.
• Participate in an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation and provide guidance, mentoring, and training.

Requirements

• Must reside in Arizona and work in a hybrid arrangement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline, or four years of related work experience.
• At least six years of experience designing, planning, deploying, documenting, maintaining, and diagnosing networks involving switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, NTP, wireless, next-generation firewalls, ADC, WAN, IP voice and video, and copper/fiber cabling.
• Experience with network maintenance, implementation, troubleshooting, security, monitoring, and infrastructure documentation.
• Ability to participate in testing or lab exercises to verify technical skills.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills, with the ability to prioritize incidents and collaborate across departments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Eight years of experience in network design, implementation, management, and healthcare environments.
• Cisco, Infoblox, Palo Alto, Aruba, ISC2, Fluke, Citrix, or F5 certifications.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems, network architecture modeling, virtual networks, Linux, Windows, and interoperability solutions.
