Software Engineering Co-op (Test Automation)

Location: Five days onsite in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. The posting also lists Shakopee, Minnesota as the primary location. No relocation is offered.

Salary: $25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance test automation software and solutions.
• Execute verification and validation testing for card printers, modules, products, and enhancements.
• Configure printers, software, and systems to meet test environment requirements.
• Document and track issues in Jira and isolate problems to major component levels.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, mechanical, electrical, and materials engineers on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain the test lab, systems, and test environments.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with C#, Python, VB.NET, or similar programming languages.
• Understanding of software development principles, logic, dependencies, and cause and effect.
• Understanding of safety when operating electromechanical systems and devices.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, prioritization, communication, and a learning mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated testing, scripting, or software development through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Experience with electromechanical systems, test equipment, and product validation.
• Ability to use AI to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
