Company

hirify.global develops risk-aware, reliable, field-ready AI systems for real-world robotic applications.

What you will do

  • Design end-to-end verification and validation strategies for robotic capabilities, autonomous missions, and multiple operating environments.
  • Build automated test infrastructure across simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, laboratory testing, and full robot operation.
  • Create reusable scenarios, evaluation frameworks, telemetry tools, dashboards, and automated reporting.
  • Test physical robots under changing terrain, obstacles, environmental disturbances, sensor degradation, communication failures, and compute limitations.
  • Debug system-level failures across autonomy, sensing, planning, control, networking, hardware, and system integration.
  • Define quantitative release gates and reliability evaluations in collaboration with autonomy, software, hardware, systems, and field teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong software engineering skills with C, C++, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience developing, integrating, testing, or debugging physical robotic or autonomous systems.
  • Experience with ROS 2, distributed message-passing architectures, Linux, real-time systems, RT-patched Linux kernels, and Git.
  • Experience diagnosing system-level failures and analyzing quantitative experiments, robot telemetry, and test data.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Irvine, California and get hands-on with physical robots.

Nice to have

  • Experience with system-level verification, validation, qualification, or release processes for autonomous robots, vehicles, drones, or other complex physical systems.
  • Experience building automated regression testing or large-scale robotics evaluation infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, fault injection, scenario-based testing, or automated telemetry analysis.
  • Experience testing robots in unstructured, dynamic, or safety-critical environments and bringing capabilities into production.

Culture & Benefits

  • In-person collaboration is central to solving complex robotics challenges.
  • Flexible working hours support focus and work-life balance within the onsite model.
  • Benefits package includes equity and generous time off.
  • Commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
