Senior IC Test Development Engineer

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; onsite at least four days per week. Candidates below Principal level must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment. U.S. sponsorship is not available for this role.

Salary: $103,200–$154,800 USD annually, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop precision parametric measurement, dynamic signal analysis, and automated test system software for custom analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
• Lead test system redesign and improvement projects, including planning schedules, labor, and equipment for manufacturing testing.
• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
• Support new test system and test application development as a subject matter expert.
• Compile test data and define improvements to equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, and testing requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex manufacturing-site issues while supporting characterization and regulated manufacturing release.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of industry experience in integrated-circuit test, design, or verification, or an advanced degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with integrated-circuit testing, design, verification, and debugging.
• Experience with mixed-signal testers; SPEA, Advantest, and LTX systems are relevant platforms.
• Programming experience with C, C++, or similar languages.
• Understanding of design-for-testability implementation and strategies, plus hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and DVMs.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is unavailable for this Senior-level role.

• Leadership and mentorship experience.
• Experience with production test, yield improvement, cost reduction, and quality control.
• Experience testing ultra-low-power ASICs.
• Ability to work with design teams remotely and across different geographic locations.
