Test Engineer (Silicon Photonics)

Location: Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite production test role

Annual base salary: USD 109,700–175,500, plus discretionary bonus and equity opportunities

What you will do

• Co-develop automated product testing systems with product developers and manufacturing test engineers.
• Develop optimized hardware configurations for compliance testing and defect detection.
• Build test scripts, data acquisition modules, and GUI interfaces for efficient production testing.
• Support product characterization, design validation, and production yield improvement.
• Extend existing test platforms with new capabilities using a structured approach.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering or physics and 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong background in optical device testing.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and C#, including multithreaded software and GUI development.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with firmware; microcoding experience is preferred.
• Experience with motion control, vision systems, relational database interfaces such as Oracle, statistical analysis, JMP, and process control is preferred.
