Principal Quality Software Engineering

Location: Hybrid office environment on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in Cedar Rapids, Baltimore, or Philadelphia; moderate travel of 10–25%. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship is required.

Salary: $190,000–$200,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain software testing frameworks and standards across platforms.
• Develop testing best practices covering automation, performance, and security testing.
• Perform hands-on test automation, execution, and defect tracking for distributed applications and microservices.
• Lead and mentor team members in adopting testing tools, methodologies, and practices.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions to improve testability and maintainability.
• Monitor quality metrics, communicate results, and help define organization-wide testing standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of experience with database design, distributed applications, microservices, and software quality engineering.
• Five years of experience with testing frameworks and tools, including Selenium and Playwright.
• Experience with .NET/C#, Java, object-oriented programming, Visual Studio, Git or Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, SQL Management Studio, and NUnit.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and container technologies, including Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container automation.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without immigration-related sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Technology or platform certifications such as AWS or Microsoft.
• Familiarity with Angular, React, Vue, ASP.NET MVC, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Ajax.
