Senior Accounting - Financial Reporting

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; ideal candidates are located in Denver, Colorado, or Boston, Massachusetts. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $79,400–$112,175 per year, with eligibility for a bonus program.

What you will do

• Analyze financial results, trends, unusual variances, reporting issues, and significant transactions.
• Prepare annual and interim financial statements, disclosures, workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare financial information under U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and Statutory Accounting Principles.
• Support regulatory capital calculations, regulatory filings, external audits, and SOX compliance activities.
• Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and business teams on reporting deliverables.
• Improve reporting quality and efficiency through analytical tools, process improvement, automation, and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with IFRS and Statutory Accounting Principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and research skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with large or complex financial datasets.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is unavailable.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification.
• Public accounting, external audit, financial services, or audited financial statement experience.
• Experience with SEC registration statements, regulatory capital calculations, SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Experience with reporting analytics, process improvement, automation, or data visualization tools.
