Senior Motion Designer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; in-person at the New York City office five days a week.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 USD per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own video projects from concept and storyboarding through production, editing, motion design, and final delivery.
• Create product explainers, UI animations, launch videos, tutorials, and other motion-graphics-led content.
• Plan and shoot customer and team interviews, including camera, lighting, and audio setup.
• Edit and package content for the website, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X, adapting formats and pacing for each platform.
• Partner with Design and Marketing leaders to plan launches, campaigns, deadlines, and content schedules.
• Establish the visual language for video, build reusable workflows and asset libraries, coordinate external resources, and use performance data to improve future content.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of hands-on professional experience editing and animating video, including previous senior or lead experience.
• Expert post-production skills, especially motion graphics and animation in Adobe After Effects, with strong editing skills in traditional and AI editing tools.
• Strong design, motion, typography, brand, storytelling, scripting, and narrative-editing skills.
• Camera, lighting, and audio skills for producing high-quality interviews and b-roll.
• Experience creating content for professional or creative software or comparable technical products, including UI animation and software workflow explanation.
• Ability to work in person at the New York City office five days a week. A portfolio featuring motion graphics, product or software content, and interview-based work is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with interactive UI motion design tools or frameworks such as Lottie and Rive.
• Experience managing budgets for freelancers, voice talent, music licensing, and equipment rentals.
