Senior Finance Associate (Energy Storage)

Salary: $115,000–$152,500 USD per year

Develops energy storage systems and recycles lithium-ion batteries to recover, refine, and redeploy critical minerals into the supply chain.

What you will do

• Build and maintain project finance models for large-scale energy storage deployments, including scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, IRR/NPV calculations, and investor-ready presentations.
• Partner with Business Development throughout the deal lifecycle, from initial screening and term sheet evaluation through contract negotiation.
• Prepare financial diligence and approval packages that frame transaction risk, return, and strategic fit for executive and cross-functional review.
• Develop pricing frameworks based on cost to serve and target returns, and stress-test deal economics with Sales and Business Development.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in renewables project finance with significant deal-facing responsibilities.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including building complex multi-scenario models from scratch in Excel.
• Ability to structure ambiguous commercial situations into clear financial frameworks.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for executive and investor audiences.
• Self-starter mindset, high ownership, and ability to manage multiple live deal processes simultaneously.

Nice to have

• Background in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience with energy storage, battery systems, or renewable energy project development and finance.
• Familiarity with tax equity structures, ITC qualification, and clean-energy government incentive programs.
