Senior Software Engineer - CIAM (C#/.NET)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support CIAM applications and integrations across digital banking channels.
• Build authentication and authorization capabilities, including login, MFA, step-up flows, password recovery, customer profiles, and SSO integrations.
• Develop and maintain Web APIs and services using secure, resilient code primarily in C#/.NET and JavaScript.
• Implement automated unit and integration tests, CI/CD pipelines, code-quality analysis, and security scanning.
• Review pull requests, analyze requirements, estimate development work, and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
• Support production operations through incident triage, troubleshooting, monitoring, observability, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years, or equivalent experience including at least 3 years in systems analysis or application development.
• Advanced proficiency in at least one relevant programming language, preferably C#/.NET, plus hands-on JavaScript experience.
• Experience with software design patterns, Web APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT/token-based security, and SSO.
• Hands-on experience with Git or similar source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, and Agile delivery tools.
• Work is associated with Buffalo, New York, United States of America, and the position is identified as onsite.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular or another modern front-end framework.
• Experience with CIAM platforms such as Strivacity, PingFederate, or similar identity providers.
• Knowledge of MFA, adaptive or risk-based authentication, passkeys, and fraud-aware authentication.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure App Service, AKS, Azure Functions, managed identities, or Entra ID.
• Experience with DevSecOps, observability tools, or software development in financial services or another regulated industry.
