Senior / Staff Engineer, DEX Trading System (Blockchain)

What you will do

• Design and develop backend services for quote aggregation, order management, transaction orchestration, and execution tracking.
• Integrate with DEX protocols, liquidity sources, blockchain RPC providers, and indexing services.
• Build reliable order and transaction state models with retry, recovery, duplicate-request, and partial-failure handling.
• Improve resilience under high concurrency, traffic spikes, and degraded external dependencies through rate limiting, concurrency controls, resource isolation, and graceful degradation.
• Optimize database access, transaction boundaries, caching, and asynchronous processing while establishing monitoring, alerting, load testing, and incident-response practices.
• Support multi-chain transaction submission, confirmation tracking, reconciliation, and recovery from failed, dropped, or reorganized transactions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java and its backend ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, distributed systems, relational databases, caching, and messaging systems.
• Experience building high-availability services and diagnosing production performance or reliability issues.
• Understanding of blockchain transactions, smart contract interactions, and common DeFi trading mechanisms.
• Current right to work in Singapore is prioritised; visa sponsorship is not available.
