IT Operations Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within Canada

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 per year

hirify.global builds an operating system for communications service providers that manages billing, operations, automation, and related telecom workflows.

What you will do

• Build and run the internal IT function as the first IT Operations hire, reporting to the CTO.
• Administer SaaS tools, users, groups, licenses, billing, settings, SSO, and Google Groups.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, access requests, permissions, and least-privilege controls.
• Own the macOS laptop fleet through Rippling MDM and Apple Business Manager, including security settings, deployments, updates, troubleshooting, wipes, and buybacks.
• Provide internal helpdesk support and collaborate with Engineering Leadership and the Platform squad on security and SOC 2 compliance.
• Build workflows, AI skills, autonomous agents, and other automations for self-service support and recurring IT tasks.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in IT administration or IT operations, ideally in a remote-first SaaS company.
• Hands-on experience building workflows with Zapier, n8n, Slack Workflow Builder, Retool, APIs, webhooks, and light scripting.
• Experience managing macOS devices with Rippling, Jamf, Kandji, or similar tools, plus Apple Business Manager.
• Strong administration experience with Google Workspace, SSO/SAML, groups, Slack, Notion, and password managers.
• Daily familiarity with AI tools, MCPs, AI skills, and AI workflows is required.
• Security-first ownership, strong documentation habits, and clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, Drata, Vanta, or similar compliance tooling.
• Software QA or software development experience.
