Operational Risk Framework Manager (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Lead the design, maintenance and enhancement of the group-wide Operational Risk Framework, standards, methodologies and guidance.
• Manage integrated approaches to RCSAs, control management, issues and actions management, and risk-event management.
• Align operational risk practices with the Group Risk Management Policy, Risk Taxonomy, Risk Appetite Framework and wider risk management framework.
• Own operational risk training and coordinate communications with the Risk and Control Community.
• Translate approved methodologies into business and system requirements and support implementation with the GRC Platform Integration & Support team.
• Present operational risk framework topics to committees and forums, provide subject-matter expertise, and lead a specialist team of two.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of PRA and FCA regulatory expectations for operational risk in financial services.
• Experience designing, enhancing and embedding operational risk management frameworks in a regulated financial services environment.
• Experience analysing complex rules and regulations and applying them to business problems.
• Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, analytical and presentation skills.
• Ability to design and develop new concepts independently, explain complex issues and constructively challenge senior stakeholders.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop a high-performing specialist team.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of insurance and asset management businesses.
• Understanding of broader operational risk industry standards and best practices.
