Frontend Developer (React/Tauri)

What you will do

• Build and maintain the front end of Haply Hub, a Tauri 2 desktop application connected to a Rust backend.
• Ship interfaces across Windows, macOS, and Linux, coordinating command and event flows.
• Develop the public documentation hub, including information architecture, search, and executable code examples.
• Update the main website and product release and landing pages.
• Collaborate with product and UX on configurators and integration interfaces for haptic devices and HARP.
• Improve front-end quality through design tokens, componentization, performance, accessibility, and instrumentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of front-end development experience in a TypeScript and React or Preact environment.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, accessibility, performance, and browser behavior.
• Working knowledge of Rust and Tauri, or the ability to learn them quickly.
• Familiarity with Next.js, Astro, or a similar modern framework, including static and SSR approaches.
• Ability to translate Figma designs into polished interfaces and collaborate effectively with product and UX teams.
• Experience with GitLab, branches, merge requests, code review, CI pipelines, Conventional Commits, testing, and multi-platform development.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tauri or Electron desktop applications.
• Experience maintaining documentation sites such as Docusaurus, Mintlify, or Nextra.
• Experience with 3D, canvas, WebGL, Three.js, WebSockets, or streaming interfaces backed by Rust.
• Knowledge of robotics, haptics, simulation, motion control, or visual design and micro-interactions.
• Bilingual French and English; the working environment is bilingual.
