Data Optimization Analyst (Payments): Analyzing transaction and payment performance data to improve authorization, authentication, routing efficiency, and merchant approval rates with an accent on data storytelling, visualization, and actionable recommendations. Focus on identifying performance trends, coordinating optimization initiatives, and solving complex payment-performance challenges across merchants, issuers, networks, and internal teams.

What you will do
- Analyze transaction, authorization, authentication, and routing performance data for strategic LATAM merchants.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations through data storytelling and visualization.
- Identify trends and develop data-led strategies to improve approval rates, revenue protection, merchant conversion, and cost efficiency.
- Support opportunity intake, requirements gathering, prioritization, and delivery tracking for optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations, Product, Technology, Data, Schemes, issuers, merchants, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in analytics, consulting, payments, merchant services, customer success, or optimization-focused roles.
- Experience analyzing transaction, authorization, or payment performance data and presenting business recommendations to clients.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish are required.
Nice to have
- Payments industry experience, including merchant acquiring, payment processing, ecommerce, fraud, risk, or authorization optimization.
- Experience working with card issuers, card networks, or acquiring institutions.
- Knowledge of payment market dynamics and authorization trends across Latin America.
- Portuguese language skills.
