Technical Lead (Scrum)

Location: Hampshire/Farnborough, United Kingdom; onsite 5 days per week. Right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility for applicable UK Government and contractual personnel security and residency requirements are required. Some roles may require specific nationality eligibility.

What you will do

• Translate SAFe features and enablers into scalable architectural designs and technical stories.
• Establish coding standards, conduct peer code reviews, and reduce technical debt.
• Align technical dependencies with system architects and other Technical Leads across multiple Scrum teams.
• Provide technical mentorship and guide engineers toward continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Balance technical quality with pragmatic delivery decisions and communicate architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in IT engineering and application architecture, including senior developer or Technical Lead experience guiding Agile or SAFe teams.
• Deep expertise in full-stack software development, modern programming languages, and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience designing and delivering secure, high-availability enterprise applications.
• Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and infrastructure-as-code.
• IT or engineering NVQ Level 4, a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional developer or cloud architecture certification, Agile/SAFe certification, and ITIL Foundation.
