Senior Business Planner (Office & Lab Planning)

Location: On-site in Wilton, Connecticut, United States. The role requires regular onsite presence and may involve up to 10% domestic or international travel. Work in cleanroom and laboratory environments may be required.

What you will do

• Develop office and laboratory space plans aligned with business growth, organizational priorities, capacity, utilization and cost constraints.
• Analyze headcount forecasts, project requirements, industrial space demand and occupancy trends to identify capacity risks and mitigation strategies.
• Partner with business leaders, Corporate Real Estate, EHS, lab owners, project managers and facilities organizations to align competing requirements.
• Create planning dashboards, reports, KPIs and executive-level recommendations for workspace and portfolio decisions.
• Support office and laboratory moves, reconfigurations, expansions and business transformation projects.
• Improve planning governance, data quality, reporting effectiveness and workflow automation using low-code solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, business administration, project management or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in business planning, facilities planning, workplace strategy, space planning, portfolio management, operations planning or a related discipline.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and balancing multiple competing priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, business case development, scenario planning and capacity management skills.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Must be legally authorized to access United States-controlled technology before beginning work.

Nice to have

• Experience in a technical, engineering, manufacturing or high-tech environment.
• Experience supporting office, laboratory, facilities or real estate planning initiatives.
• Experience with Spotfire.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
