Senior Security Engineer, Enterprise Security (AI)

Location: Remote in California; candidates in other US locations will also be considered

Salary: $134,200–$230,800 USD annual base salary, depending on pay zone and location.

What you will do

• Implement and improve preventive security controls across enterprise applications, identity, endpoint, network, SaaS, and data-security systems.
• Build security automation and integrations using Python, Go, APIs, Terraform, and comparable technologies.
• Automate configuration checks, access validation, evidence collection, remediation workflows, and recurring security reviews.
• Develop AI-assisted and agent-based security automation with appropriate access controls, testing, monitoring, and auditability.
• Build automated testing, monitoring, and validation capabilities to detect control gaps, configuration drift, and ineffective enforcement.
• Partner with Security, IT, Engineering, and platform owners to deliver reusable controls and secure defaults.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering, enterprise security, infrastructure security, cloud security, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience implementing, integrating, testing, and maintaining security controls in production enterprise environments.
• Strong programming and automation skills with Python, Go, or comparable languages, including API integrations, infrastructure-as-code, and version control.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, SSO, OAuth, service identities, API security, secrets management, and least-privilege principles.
• Experience with automated security checks, configuration validation, drift detection, remediation workflows, automated testing, CI/CD, error handling, and operational monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted or agent-based security automation and the ability to collaborate with Security, IT, and platform owners.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple enterprise security domains and large-scale cloud or SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with Okta, Google Workspace, CrowdStrike, Jamf, Prisma Access, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Open Policy Agent, Rego, or comparable policy-as-code technologies.
• Experience securing enterprise data and AI platforms, including Databricks or comparable technologies.
