Senior Security Engineer

Focus on owning and improving technical workflows that keep Gov systems compliant and resilient at scale.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for secure deployments and infrastructure workflows.
• Own IaC PR and Change Control Board reviews, ensuring changes are tested, approved, and secure before release.
• Run security impact analyses (SIAs) and provide recommendations for system/application changes.
• Execute OS and infrastructure patch cycles, including hardened images and patch workflows for FedRAMP environments.
• Govern access management (account provisioning, RBAC maintenance, and periodic access reviews).
• Manage logging/monitoring pipelines (SIEM ingestion and alerting), triage incidents, and maintain runbooks/SOPs for audit readiness.

Requirements

• Location: Remote (USA)
• 5+ years in security engineering or infrastructure operations in federal or regulated cloud environments.
• Strong familiarity with NIST 800-53 controls and continuous monitoring practices.
• Proven delivery of AWS/SaaS security best practices.
• Hands-on expertise with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and IaC security practices.
• Proven SIEM pipeline management and ability to lead Tier 1/Tier 2 incident response.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating security automation into CI/CD and SecOps workflows.
• Experience supporting federal audits or 3PAO engagements.
• Knowledge of SaaS security operations and monitoring at scale, including exposure to DevSecOps pipelines or Terraform/containers security reviews.
