Product Design Intern (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, or Seattle, Washington

Salary: $34–$42 USD per hour for the Bellevue, Washington pay zone

Databricks builds a data and AI infrastructure platform used by organizations to develop and scale data applications, analytics, and AI agents.

What you will do

• Work with cross-functional partners to build features for the Databricks platform.
• Manage a product design project from discovery and ideation through final implementation-ready prototypes.
• Conduct customer research to understand needs and improve product designs.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, account teams, customers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
• Expected graduation in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Strong interaction design skills and knowledge of user-centered design and usability principles.
• Ability to build interactive prototypes using current AI tooling.
• Analytical skills for data-driven decisions, including product usage analysis.
• Ability to conduct basic usability testing and semi-structured interviews, communicate clearly, and solve ambiguous problems collaboratively.
