Product Design Intern (AI/Robotics)

What you will do

• Design experiences connecting people, software, and the physical world.
• Translate complex problems into clear flows, thoughtful interactions, and polished interfaces.
• Build interactive prototypes with Figma and AI tools to evaluate concepts and communicate design intent.
• Present ideas, explore alternatives, and refine designs through experimentation and team critique.
• Collaborate with engineers to work through constraints and bring concepts into the product.
• Follow designs through implementation and contribute to a consistent visual and interaction language.

Requirements

• Strong foundations in interaction and visual design, including layout, typography, hierarchy, and composition.
• A portfolio demonstrating thoughtful problem-solving, design craft, and the development of ideas; school, personal, and internship projects are welcome.
• Comfort working in Figma and enthusiasm for exploring AI tools in the design process.
• Ability to communicate design ideas and explain decisions clearly.
• Openness to feedback, experimentation, iteration, and learning.
• Attention to detail and curiosity about improving technology experiences.

Nice to have

• Experience building functional prototypes with AI tools or code.
• Familiarity with motion design or spatial interactions.
• Understanding of mobile design patterns, accessibility, or design systems.
• Interest in consumer technology, robotics, and products connecting digital and physical experiences.
