Senior Cyber Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA_VA_Onsite, NCR/DC region; Monday–Friday with remote flexibility. Work hours begin between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.; occasional weekend support may be required for installations and upgrades.

Base salary: $151,800–$187,500 USD annually, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and RHEL 8.x systems supporting hirify.global appliances in physical and virtual environments.
• Manage ESXi and Hyper-V virtual hosts and troubleshoot appliance, operating system, and infrastructure performance issues.
• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize endpoint security solutions including HBSS, Tanium, and Digital Guardian.
• Perform vulnerability remediation aligned with STIGs and scanning reports, review logs, and conduct proactive health checks of Kubernetes clusters using tools such as Grafana.
• Install firmware and maintain servers, SANs, switches, firewalls, and other hardware; support lifting, racking, and cabling.
• Provide first-line technical support to government and contractor personnel, collaborate with product teams, and deliver customer updates and trip reports.

Requirements

• Active TS clearance with SCI, or SCI eligibility within two years from last use.
• Ability to meet U.S. ITAR or EAR work authorization requirements.
• At least one DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Program certification at IAT Level II or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with Windows and RHEL, virtualization, enterprise networking, firewalls, certificates, server hardware, and security vulnerability remediation.
