Diagnostics Application Specialist (Molecular Diagnostics)

Location: Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and Switzerland; extensive travel across the territory required (70–80%)

Salary: €60,000–€75,000 gross per year plus bonus

What you will do

• Provide application expertise for Molecular Diagnostics and Cervical Health solutions across the assigned territory.
• Deliver customer training and education programmes to support successful adoption of diagnostic technologies.
• Support laboratory installations, validations, workflow optimisation projects, and new product implementations.
• Troubleshoot application issues and help customers improve platform performance, reliability, and workflow efficiency.
• Partner with Sales Specialists to identify growth opportunities and represent the portfolio at scientific meetings, workshops, congresses, and customer events.
• Build relationships with laboratory professionals, gather customer insights, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Technical Solutions, Customer Service, and Field Service Engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience in a laboratory, diagnostics, pathology, cytology, cervical screening, molecular diagnostics, or life sciences environment.
• Strong presentation, communication, analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent German and strong written and spoken English required.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the territory.

Nice to have

• Experience in Cervical Health, Cytology, Cytopathology, HPV testing, or Cervical Screening programmes.
• Previous Applications Specialist experience.
