Senior Application Support Specialist (Mass Spectrometry)

Location: Remote in Switzerland, preferably the Basel area; field-based role with travel across the EMEA region.

What you will do

• Provide pre-sales support through customer visits, product and application demonstrations, seminars, lectures, workshops, and sample analysis.
• Deliver post-sales support, onsite and in-house training, telephone support, troubleshooting, and customer visits.
• Help customers develop methods and resolve technical issues involving mass spectrometry applications.
• Share field intelligence on competitive activity, market conditions, and product opportunities with Sales and Marketing.
• Collaborate with local, European, and global teams to provide customer feedback and input into new product features.
• Travel across EMEA to support customer engagement, training, troubleshooting, and technical activities.

Requirements

• Degree or PhD in chemistry, life sciences, or equivalent experience.
• Proven analytical chemistry experience, including chromatographic and mass spectrometry method development and troubleshooting.
• Experience with pharmaceutical and clinical/forensic workflows involving nominal and accurate mass spectrometry.
• Awareness of HPLC-MS technologies and applications.
• Fluent German and good verbal and written English are required.
• Ability to travel and hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice to have

• Experience with SCIEX instrumentation.
• Fluent French.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and prioritization skills.
