Platform System/Hardware Engineer - Customer Solutions Engineering

Location: Spring, Texas, United States; hybrid role with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office. The description also states that the role must be local and in the office 5 days per week.

Salary: USD 62,900–145,300 annual base salary in Texas. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design portions of electrical and electronic hardware solutions, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms according to engineering specifications.
• Implement test plans covering tolerances, form, fit and function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power.
• Participate in validation, feasibility, design margin, and reliability analysis for new and modified hardware designs.
• Work with electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners on low- to moderately complex products.
• Contribute technical analysis and recommendations as part of project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Typically 0–4 years of experience.
• Experience with or understanding of electrical design tools and software packages.
• Understanding of electronic components, integrated circuitry, algorithms, thermal properties, electromagnetic properties, and emissions management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of English and the local language; must be local to Spring, Texas.
