Senior Web & SEO Manager

Location: Fully remote; Cape Town, South Africa listed, with a global preferred location. Working hours follow standard EST hours.

Salary: $1,600–$2,200 per month

What you will do

• Develop and execute the organic search strategy and tactical roadmap across competitive legal practice areas.
• Conduct technical SEO audits and resolve site errors, speed issues, crawlability and indexability problems, and structured data requirements.
• Manage and update the WordPress website to maintain technical health, performance, visual integrity, and user experience.
• Perform keyword research and competitive analysis to identify valuable search terms and content gaps.
• Plan and deploy SEO-driven content with effective on-page optimization.
• Optimize the firm’s Google Business Profile and local citations, and report weekly to leadership on strategy and implementation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of SEO and web development experience for U.S. companies or law firms.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and updating WordPress websites.
• Strong technical, on-page, and local SEO expertise with a proven record of improving rankings and traffic.
• Understanding of AI discovery, generative engine optimization, and LLM-driven search tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work proactively and independently, identify technical risks, and recommend solutions.

• Experience marketing law firms or other competitive, high-intent local services.
• Experience working with U.S. law firms.
