Senior Analytics Engineer (AI)

Location: United States; remote

Salary: $110.4K–$220.8K annual base salary, plus potential equity, bonus, and US benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

What you will do

• Build trusted financial data products, scalable pipelines, data models, and automated reconciliations.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Data Engineering, Product, and Platform teams to translate workflows and business needs into reliable automation.
• Develop automated workflows for data preparation, reporting, follow-ups, monitoring, controls, and exception handling.
• Create dashboards and visualizations for performance analysis, issue investigation, and decision-making.
• Resolve finance data issues and reconciliation breaks, identify root causes, and communicate progress.
• Support a trusted finance data lake and improve data timeliness, including near-real-time insights where valuable.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data analytics and data management within financial services or another regulated industry, working directly with Finance teams.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, including production code development, debugging, and maintenance.
• Experience with Git, merge requests, code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with dbt, Spark, Airflow, or comparable pipeline and data-modeling tools.
• Direct experience with finance or accounting data, including reconciliations, subledgers, cost basis, month-end close, discrepancy investigation, and output validation.
• Strong communication, technical judgment, autonomy, and accountability for production outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with cryptocurrency transaction data and its flow into financial records and reconciliations.
• Experience processing large volumes of financial transactions with distributed frameworks such as Spark or PySpark.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted automation and deploying reliable production solutions.
