Business Analyst (Year in Industry)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid schedule with office attendance Monday to Thursday and work from home on Fridays.

Salary: £28,480 annual salary.

What you will do

• Analyze large datasets, contracts, research, and partner reporting data to produce actionable insights for deal negotiations.
• Maintain KPI trackers and tools covering streaming markets, licensing status, partner availability, and pricing.
• Track and benchmark commercial terms across digital partners.
• Assess partner performance, build revenue models, and prepare business reviews and development activities.
• Research the digital marketplace to identify and assess new revenue opportunities.
• Document meetings and conference calls, isolate action points, and share market and operating-company insights.

Requirements

• Penultimate-year undergraduate student seeking a placement year as part of a degree.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Comfort working with data, numbers, and technology, including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Interest in data visualization tools such as Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx, with some exposure to quantitative analysis, financial modeling, or data-driven problem solving.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, understand complex issues, and turn analysis into clear recommendations.
• Interest in media, entertainment, technology, digital business, AI, and emerging technologies.

Nice to have

• SQL skills.
• Previous experience in music, banking, consulting, or corporate finance.
• Passion for music.

Hiring process
