Java Engineer - OnePAM @ING Hubs Romania

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new features through the full development lifecycle.
• Build and maintain the OnePAM API layer and APIs for designated entities and business cases.
• Support applications in production and manage monitoring tools for the team’s portfolio.
• Collaborate with feature squads and other teams on shared software components.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a software developer.
• English at an advanced level.
• Strong Java 21, Spring Boot, and Spring Core skills.
• Experience with Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases, RESTful API design and documentation, and Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to work with hexagonal architecture, domain-driven design, and functional programming concepts.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an IT-related field.
• Experience with Cucumber, Azure SQL, Azure Blob Storage, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Experience using, adapting, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
