Java Developer / Lead Developer (Gaming/Gambling)

Location: Hybrid in Bucharest, Romania, or Helsinki, Finland

What you will do

• Design technical solutions based on business needs and architectural direction.
• Implement robust, scalable, and secure Java applications.
• Lead refinement discussions, calibrate estimates, and support project planning and delivery.
• Review code and maintain high standards for quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor one or two development teams and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Operations, architects, and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and deliver solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Java Developer, including at least 2 years in a Technical Lead or similar leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in Java JDK 21, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, WebSockets, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka and SQL/NoSQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, plus Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and software delivery skills.
