Middle Java Developer (Banking): Building and maintaining reliable, secure, and high-performance Java applications supporting essential banking operations with an accent on Spring-based development, secure web services, and microservice architecture. Focus on designing REST integrations, developing messaging-driven services, improving application quality through testing and CI/CD, and providing Level 3 production support.

Location: Hybrid in Bucharest, Romania or Helsinki, Finland

hirify.global Oy is recruiting for software development supporting essential banking operations.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain reliable, secure, and high-performance Java applications.
  • Collaborate with business teams to clarify and refine requirements.
  • Participate in technical design, development, testing, Agile ceremonies, and production releases.
  • Provide Level 3 support for live applications and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Promote secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on Java development.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Spring Data JDBC or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience with RESTful web services, web service security, messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and microservice architecture.
  • Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases, JUnit, Mockito, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, GitHub, Jenkins, Gradle, Artifactory, Docker, and OpenShift.
  • Good communication skills, a proactive mindset, and commitment to continuous learning.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AWS or other cloud solutions.
  • Experience with Appian or willingness to learn it.
