Software Intern

Location: Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; hybrid work with an average requirement of two days per week from an HPE office

What you will do

• Code enhancements, updates, and changes for portions of systems software, including operating systems, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
• Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned code.
• Identify, log, and debug software issues.
• Collaborate with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
• Contribute to reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for low- to moderately-complex products.

Requirements

• Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
• Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and programming languages.
• Understanding of software systems running across multiple platform types.
• Knowledge of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of English and the local language is required.
