Software Systems Engineer

Location: Fully remote, no location restrictions; listed location is New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The role requires U.S. citizenship for federal clearance eligibility.

What you will do

• Analyze and provide technical support for systems software products.
• Resolve complex problems through design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
• Plan and evaluate operating systems for performance, capacity, and hardware upgrades.
• Develop or modify operating systems applications from specifications, including coding, benchmarking, debugging, and documentation.
• Maintain, debug, and configure software products while improving operating system efficiency.
• Interface with system support groups and customers to define requirements and resolve issues.

Requirements

• IT-II security clearance or a current NACLC check is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for basic federal clearance eligibility.
• Clear criminal history and no recent or pending bankruptcies are required for basic federal clearance eligibility.
• 8+ years of experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology.
• Experience with systems software, operating systems, software development, testing, debugging, integration, and technical support.
