Talent Sourcing Partner, ML/AI

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; office attendance is required Tuesday through Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday

Salary: $159,260–$200,630 USD annual base pay

What you will do

• Drive hiring for technical roles across engineering, machine learning, AI, research, and data.
• Source and engage candidates through recruiting platforms, technical communities, GitHub, academic research channels, and AI/ML networks.
• Partner with engineering and data leaders to define role scopes, identify capability gaps, and shape hiring strategies for generative AI, LLMs, computer vision, and infrastructure automation.
• Provide talent-market insights on leveling, compensation, candidate profiles, and global AI/ML talent dynamics.
• Mentor hiring managers and interviewers on calibration, evaluation, and selection practices while improving candidate experience.
• Maintain accurate pipelines and ATS data, measure recruiting performance, and identify operational bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with depth in AI, machine learning, or data science.
• Experience hiring research scientists, ML engineers, applied AI practitioners, and data leaders in competitive markets.
• Ability to manage high-volume pipelines while maintaining quality outcomes.
• Experience using an applicant tracking system and analyzing recruiting metrics.
• Strong stakeholder-influencing, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to switch between sourcing and full-cycle recruiting as needed.
