TL;DR

Executive Researcher (HR Recruiting/AI): Building a modern, AI-powered research and strategic sourcing practice for VP+ and C-level hires with an accent on talent mapping, competitive intelligence, and AI-driven sourcing tools. Focus on scaling AI infrastructure leadership and delivering executive-grade market insights to the CEO and ELT.

Location: Hub-based hybrid in New York, NY; Livingston, NJ; Bellevue, WA; Sunnyvale, CA. Remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office based on specialized skill sets. Must be a U.S. person (Citizen, Green Card, etc.) due to export control regulations.

Salary: $150,000 – $190,000

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end primary research for VP+, C-level, and Principal+ searches, including name generation, talent mapping, and org charting.
  • Develop and integrate an AI-powered research stack and automation tools to increase sourcing speed and quality.
  • Produce executive-grade deliverables such as candidate dossiers, compensation benchmarks, and market signal briefs.
  • Partner with Executive Recruiters and senior business leaders to define search strategies and position specifications.
  • Maintain live talent maps for critical functions including AI infrastructure, GPU cloud, and ML systems.
  • Provide market intelligence and calibration data directly to VP+ and C-level hiring leaders.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in executive search research or talent intelligence for VP+ and C-level roles.
  • Proven track record in technical domains such as engineering, AI/ML, and infrastructure.
  • Mastery of primary research methodologies, including off-LinkedIn sourcing and board mapping.
  • Proficiency with modern AI sourcing platforms and automation tools.
  • Must be a U.S. person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) for export control compliance.
  • Strong written communication skills for synthesizing complex market data into executive briefs.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience at a top retained executive search firm.
  • Direct domain knowledge of GPU clouds, hyperscalers, or semiconductors.
  • Experience modernizing a research function using AI and automation.
  • Board-level research experience and BoardEx fluency.
