Senior SOC Design Engineer (SoC)

Location: On-site in Penang, Malaysia

What you will do

• Design and integrate microarchitecture, RTL logic, and verification environments across multiple IPs.
• Perform pre-silicon validation and debug features to ensure functionality and performance meet specifications.
• Develop test plans, coverage points, and test content for new architectural features.
• Collaborate with IP Design, Firmware, Structural Design, DFX, emulation, and validation teams.
• Improve design quality, efficiency, and validation methodologies.
• Lead initiatives influencing design or validation microarchitecture across the SoC Front End Design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in RTL integration, validation techniques, and debug methodologies.
• Proficiency with UVM and formal verification methodologies.
• Expertise in microarchitecture design and integration.
• Ability to validate and debug complex IP interfaces, including Fabric, Platform Essentials, and IOs.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience guiding technical initiatives and leading by example.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and locations.
• Experience identifying efficiency improvements and developing data-driven solutions.
