Commodity Manager Ground Segment (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Act as the primary commodity management contact for Ground Segment products and services, including antennas, services, IT infrastructure, and software.
• Establish, implement, and continuously improve commodity strategies in line with hirify.global Procurement policies.
• Lead market analysis, global sourcing, competitive tenders, requests for proposals, and contract management.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and drive improvements in supplier performance.
• Lead value-creation projects focused on innovation in products and services.
• Manage supply chain risks across Ground Segment activities and support cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, and contract negotiation, ideally in aerospace, defence, or high-tech engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex internal and external stakeholder networks.
• Strong analytical skills covering global market analysis, risk assessment, and value-creation initiatives.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for developing long-term supplier partnerships.
• Must have or be able to obtain UK Eyes Only SC Security Clearance through the UK Intelligence Community process.
• Ability to work from Portsmouth or Stevenage, with hybrid attendance subject to policy.
