What you will do

• Design testing procedures, run experiments, and analyze data to characterize new sensor performance.
• Explore customer use cases through material fingerprinting and concentration tests, then prepare customer-facing presentations.
• Prepare samples at known concentrations, serial dilutions, and emulsifications while following laboratory safety protocols.
• Apply statistical methods to calculate limits of detection for industrially relevant chemicals.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, organize raw data, and write and refine Standard Operating Procedures to improve reproducibility.
• Design, test, and refine calibration procedures for the sensing stack.

Requirements

• Pursuing or holding a degree in chemistry, physics, engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or experience in chemistry, physics, optical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on laboratory experience and comfort running structured experiments.
• Detail-oriented approach and ability to follow and constructively critique experimental procedures.
• Statistics and data analysis skills using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Willingness to perform a wide range of hands-on engineering and technician tasks.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with spectroscopy and electrical impedance measurement.
