What you will do

• Design, plan, and conduct cell culture experiments at multiple scales, including shake flasks, ambr15, ambr250, and 3L/10L bench-top bioreactors.
• Process and analyze experimental data on growth rates, nutrient uptake and secretion, and intracellular metabolite levels.
• Collaborate with modeling specialists to generate data for flux balance analysis, metabolic flux analysis, kinetic modeling, and related workflows.
• Prepare samples for LC-MS analysis using automated liquid handling technology and process results through data automation platforms.
• Contribute to protocols, reports, presentations, and projects involving fed-batch, perfusion, media, and high-throughput automation development.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Must remain enrolled at an accredited college or university throughout the six-month co-op.
• Must be able to relocate to Framingham, Massachusetts and work onsite 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for the full duration.
• Strong computer skills, comfort with large datasets, and coding proficiency in Python, MATLAB, R, or a similar language.

Nice to have

• Experience with aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture.
• Experience with metabolic modeling, automated liquid handlers, high-throughput automation, statistical analysis, or data visualization.
