Legal Counsel (Labor Relations)

Location: Support Services Headquarters Building, United States. Regular travel within the United States to company properties is required for union negotiations.

What you will do

• Advise property management and human resources on labor relations matters and collective bargaining agreement interpretation.
• Support collective bargaining negotiations by researching issues, analyzing costs, preparing proposals, and drafting agreement language.
• Manage grievances and support labor arbitrations, NLRB proceedings, representation petitions, and unfair labor practice responses.
• Provide guidance on discipline, terminations, leave, accommodations, wage and hour compliance, tipped-employee rules, and anti-discrimination requirements.
• Support agency audits and employment litigation, including discovery, document collection, and case strategy.
• Draft employment policies and agreements, train managers, and monitor changes in federal, state, local, and tribal labor law.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and an active bar license in good standing.
• 2–5 years of labor law experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, government agency, or union-side practice.
• Working knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act and core federal employment statutes, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, judgment, and practical advisory skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel regularly within the United States for union negotiations.
