Senior Robotics Software Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; onsite. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $145,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain robotic software for motion planning, control, perception, and decision-making.
• Implement and optimize real-time software for robotics platforms.
• Design and integrate robotic applications using ROS and simulation tools.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate software and hardware components.
• Test, debug, and validate robotic systems in simulated and real-world environments.
• Contribute to system architecture and design reviews while tracking advances in robotics software.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in robotics software development or a related domain.
• Proficiency in C++ and experience with ROS.
• Experience with Gazebo, Unity, or similar robotic simulation platforms.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Experience with robotic control systems, sensor integration, SLAM, and Git.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning or computer vision in robotics.
• Knowledge of RTOS or embedded systems development.
• Understanding of industrial robotic systems or autonomous mobile robots.
• Experience with cloud-based robotics platforms or IoT integration.
