Spring CUNY Apprenticeship - Business/Underwriting

Salary: $25.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Complete assignments and training modules covering insurance and underwriting principles.
• Take self-paced professional development courses in time management, presentation skills, and related areas.
• Deliver project work such as territorial risk assessments and business process analyses.
• Work independently or with other apprentices and present findings to local leadership.
• Learn about Risk Control, Claims, and corporate functions, including through agency visits.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Availability from approximately January through May is required.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Studies in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Liberal Arts with a business focus, Management, Marketing, or Risk Management and Insurance.
• Serious interest in pursuing a career in insurance underwriting.
