Associate Underwriter - Employee Benefits

Location: On-site in Iselin, New Jersey, United States

Base compensation: $75,000–$111,000 per year

What you will do

• Learn healthcare terminology and the employee benefits underwriting process.
• Prepare spreadsheet data and analyze utilization reporting.
• Develop budget projections for consultant review and input.
• Assist Benefits Advisors and Account Consultants with plan analysis and executive-level summaries.
• Support analysis used to acquire new clients and retain existing clients.

Requirements

• College degree or at least five years of experience in employee benefits insurance.
• NJ Life & Health license required, or willingness to obtain it.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, organizational, mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work with attention to detail, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
