Financial Control and Accounting Lead (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead financial control and month-end reporting activities across multiple legal entities.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, substantiation, and analytical reviews.
• Provide technical accounting advice and support the application of accounting policies.
• Enhance financial control frameworks, governance processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Interpret new accounting and regulatory requirements and implement required changes.
• Partner with Treasury, Risk, Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders while leading process improvement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• CA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Significant experience in banking or financial services.
• Deep expertise in financial control, financial reporting, external reporting, audit, or accounting advisory.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, financial governance, control frameworks, balance sheet governance, and financial reporting processes.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex environments, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, finance transformation, or automation programs.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SOX controls, regulatory reporting, or prudential frameworks.
