Finance Business Partner - Retail Operations (Retail Wages)

What you will do

• Act as the financial leader and commercial partner for Store Operations State Leadership teams across WA, SA, and NT.
• Oversee store labour costs for BWS and Dan Murphy’s, including wage budgeting, forecasting, and R&O tracking.
• Analyse cost-per-hour and hours-worked drivers to improve like-for-like sales, store contribution, and operational efficiency.
• Deliver weekly and monthly reporting, cohort and demographic analyses, and competitor insights for the store network.
• Manage month-end activities, accruals, journal reviews, and financial compliance across Retail Operations.
• Coach and mentor Finance and Operations colleagues while simplifying processes and improving ways of working.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive finance experience.
• CA or CPA qualification preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial and operational performance drivers in a large-scale retail or store network environment.
• Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for senior operational leaders and influence decisions.
• Proficiency with financial systems such as SAP, TeamOne, IBM, and Google Sheets.
• Curious, collaborative, authentic, and willing to challenge the status quo.
