Finance Manager - Fuel

Location: Melbourne, VIC, Australia. Full Australian working rights are required; unrestricted work rights in Australia are required and visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Lead annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and month-end performance reporting for the Fuel business.
• Provide variance analysis and forward-looking insights on performance, risks, opportunities, volume, margin, pricing, inventory, and working capital.
• Partner with senior Retail and Finance leaders on strategic planning, scenario modelling, and commercial opportunities.
• Evaluate business cases, capital proposals, and strategic initiatives, including investment returns and risks.
• Improve financial reporting, processes, controls, governance, and decision support.
• Lead, coach, and develop four direct reports within a collaborative Finance team.

Requirements

• Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience.
• Experience across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial control.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, communication, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills.
• Confidence influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders.
• People leadership and team development experience.
• Accounting, Finance, or Commerce qualification; CA/CPA is highly regarded.
