Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States. Hybrid role with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday at the SF FiDi office; candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area are prioritized.

What you will do

• Partner with Sales on complex enterprise opportunities, address technical and AI security objections, and connect platform capabilities to customer business outcomes.
• Build tailored demonstrations, lead technical workshops, conduct discovery, and define proof-of-concept scope and success criteria.
• Connect the platform to customer systems, lead security and AI governance reviews, and troubleshoot deployments in live environments.
• Design custom workflows, artifacts, and playbooks; deliver 30-to-90-day proof-of-value sprints and turn successful solutions into reusable templates.
• Lead rollouts, user enablement, post-sale value reviews, renewals, expansion, and collaboration with implementation partners.
• Capture customer feedback and usage data to shape product and engineering priorities and test new capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Customer Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or a business-aligned Forward Deployed Engineer or Specialist role.
• Strong understanding of enterprise systems, integrations, and data, with the ability to work credibly with architects and engineers.
• Experience navigating complex corporate structures, presenting to CXOs, managing intense timelines, and translating technical concepts into commercial value.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with Tuesday–Thursday office attendance in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience building with or deploying LLMs and agentic AI systems.
• Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and AI-powered workflow automation.
• Proficiency with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce or Oracle Fusion.
